Dry Needling (sometimes referred to as “Western Acupuncture”) is a technique which involves the skilful application for acupuncture needles into targeted musculoskeletal tissue with the goal of pain relief and enhanced tissue recovery.

What can Dry Needling help with?
- Relaxing sore muscles that feel tight and overworked

- alters the neurophysiology of how the body responds to pain at the level of the injured tissue
- stimulates healing through creating new channels of blood flow tot he degenerated tissue
Does it hurt??
Everyone seems to respond to this technique differently, however most people tolerate Dry Needling very well and do not report pain. You may feel a pin-prick sensation as the needle breaks the skin, however this quickly passes.
Many people actually find dry needling more tolerable than firmer manual therapy techniques!
